Tips for decorating with homemade Christmas garland

Here are some simple tips to decorating with your homemade DIY Christmas garland:

Appearance – To create a textured and more full appearance, braid your tree garland pieces together loosely.

Color – Choose the color ribbon you want most in your house. Some most prefer red during the holidays, but use silver or gold if that’s the main color you desire!

Decide how much color you want as well! Weave your ribbon inside the braid for less color, or wrap it on the outside for more color.

Location – Choose a location for your garland so it can stand out on it’s own! If putting the garland inside, find a place in your home where it doesn’t compete with a Christmas tree.

Garlands are beautiful, but can get lost in a person’s view when competing with other things “green”.

If putting it outside, find a place where it can make your house look holiday festive, without damaging your work with your ribbon or ornaments that you add too much.
