Hello, I’m Kathleen! Welcome to our Third Blessed Farmhouse, where I share from scratch recipes from our family, simple homemaking, and our handmade farm life.

My husband, Glen and I, live in our farmhouse on located on our family’s dairy farm. He is the third generation that continues to work the farm established by his grandparents, along with his family.
Together we have three kids, one boy and two girls. Working on the land, raising our own food – and raising a family alongside of those things – is something we wouldn’t trade for anything! I am passionate about living a simply as possible, creating wholesome meals, and creating a home that is a safe haven.
While being a farmwife and mother keep me busy, I also teach middle school and high school students during the school year. During that time, I get to teach everything I talk about with you – making food, sewing, and other life skills.
The best part of the year, however, is my summer break when I can be with my family, try new recipes, garden, and also squeeze in some last-minute part runs to the Implement dealer for my husband.
Some facts about me
I grew up on a dairy goat farm, where my parents still raise and milk dairy goats. So, marrying into farm life was not new to me!
In 2009, I spent the summer with my uncle in California. I worked at a goat cheese creamery during the week, and got to see some California sights on my time off.
I am the oldest of 10 siblings. I was student-teaching when my youngest brother was born, and my Dad called the school to tell me!
My first year teaching, I rented an apartment and soon realized that city living wasn’t for me. Soon after, I was back in the country renting a little farmhouse just outside of town I taught in.
