Homemade Egg Nog

Simple, easy and healthy, this homemade egg nog will hit the spot served either cold or warm for the holidays!

- 2-3 eggs
- 4 c. whole milk
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
Blender Method: Measure and put all ingredients together in a blender. Blend all ingredients together.
Pour into a saucepan, and place on stovetop on medium low heat.
Immersion Blender Method: Place all the ingredients into the saucepan, and blend with the immersion blender. Place the saucepan on stovetop on medium low heat.
Heat the mixture together, whisking periodically, until warm.
Serve warm, or pour into a two quart jar to chill and serve later.
1. To make egg nog without a conventional blender or immersion blender, simply place all the ingredients in the pan and whisk until eggs are thoroughly mixed in with the milk other ingredients.
2. For flavored egg nog: Pumpkin Spice - add 3/4 tsp. pumpkin spice instead of cinnamon and nutmeg; Coffee - add 3 - 4 Tbsp. of instant coffee; Mocha - omit spices and add 1/4 c. cocoa powder.
3. Interested in raw egg nog? Simply blend all the ingredients in the blender and chill.
